insane hour

hello
my week of spring break is ending! sadly, i wasted my week doing mediocre things like staying up all night and then sleeping all day, the next day. i feel like i've achieved nothing at all, but whatever

the weather lately has really been warming up! i'm getting a sense of summer and i love it! i love winter (especially when it consists of snow!) but after having to lug around a big, heavy winter jacket the difference when you're NOT wearing it outside is incredible! you feel a lot better about yourself too ;)

to spice up my life i did audition for the WOSS Fringe Festival. and by audition i mean have to totally memorise a monolouge and then perform it in front of a panel of about 15 people! it was so nerve wracking but apparently i did a good job.. so i got a role! there are about 9 different plays, each consisting of about 4 or 5 people who act in each one and i got a role as "tv woman" in 'captive audience'. this is a small play so i doubt you've heard of it, good reader. but, i am excited!

currently i'm craving a decent camera. and by decent i mean professional one. when i take photos now (no matter what my subject is) i cringe at the grainyness of it all! and okay, i'm not pro or anything like that at taking pictures but i definately enjoy it so why not do it?

tomorrow i will be going out to some restaurant with a shitload of other Russians to celebrate some family member's birthday from my stepmums side. normally, i tend to avoid any family gathering especially when they include people i don't know who are 40 years older than me but i figured i might as well party hard with the rellies. no, not really. but yes. that will be fun.

anyway, to add a little colour to this post i will include some pictures of recent life & times: (to see full size just click each thumbnail.. i had to do this to avoid it ruining my page as the photos are so damn big!)

this is a picture of my little brother Edward being cute (he's 3)

yum! here's some sweets from a candy store in Toronto which is where I went on st. patricks day on wednesday!

(don't worry, i didn't buy anything... sadly :(

here is my other brother Albert and myself. he is 7 years old

i got into the mood the other day and photographed some pictures of flowers and this picture isn't too bad (damn mediocre digital cameras)

alright, so i'm thinking i should go to sleep, well at least try to considering it's close to 4am (i live on the edge durr)

goodnight faithful reader,

Horseshoe Valley Resort

Hello all
Yesterday I went cross country skiing in Barrie. I enjoy skiing and I enjoy snow, so obviously I had a good time, irregardless of the fact that I went with my Dad. When sitting down to take a break from the 'intense' workout (bah) I decided to make this gif.

While viewing these pictures on the computer, I was reminded of how better photos are when taken in natural sunlight with no flash. Spring is on its way and I'm eager to give my camera a decent workout this year :)

P.S. Yes, I realise that this is a pretty cheesy post. Oh well, you love it ;)

Wish me luck!

hello, snow

here are a few pictures of snow taken from inside my bedroom - apologies for the shoddy photos, i was too cosy inside to go outside in the subzero temperature!
this week school has started up again and i haven't had a moment to relax yet! exams are coming up in a few weeks which marks the end of semester 1. so much to do, so little time..
(get ready for some massive photos! all thanks to photobucket, i wasn't liking how small the photos were when i just directly uploaded them onto each post)

in the spirit of Christmas..

Today was literally the most boring Christmas I have ever had, which is super disappointing as it was my first here in Canada. on the bright side, i recieved a tripod which was good because now I have a stand so I can take better/more pictures.

It didn't even snow either! the heavens opened up at about 2pm and it rained for several hours. I guess rain is more exciting than nothing. Even though this is hypocritical because when I was in Australia I was always complaining about the intense summers, I have to admit I kinda miss wearing a dress whilst eating seafood at Christmas.

Tomorrow morning my family is off to a resort to go do various winter activities like skiing. I will not be joining them though because I am a lazy bastard who likes to sleep. Plus, I'm not down to spend 3 days with my family in such a close proximity while doing corny, boring family activities.
Chelsey's coming over tomorrow night anyway, and whoever else wants to. No point trying to organise anything definite; I've come to discover that Canadians are a fan of the last minute plans.

Last weekend I actually went skiing for my first time ever! My dad and I (cringe) drove 1.5 hours to Horseshoe Valley (which is in Barrie, ONT) for some cross-country skiing. It was quite enjoyable even though it was extremely difficult for me to climb the hills; I had to keep taking off my skiis and just walk up it! I must've fallen down like 10 times once at the top of the hill but admittedly a few of those times were on purpose. Falling down in a mound of soft, fresh snow is so fun!

I just had the realization that half of my winter break from school is already over. Oh dear god, that means I'll have to start thinking about doing my homework and study. I'm so not down to go back to school because we have our summatives (final assignment which is worth 10% of our mark) and then we prepare for our exams which are at the end of Janurary! eeep! I wish I had a break after exams but here in Canada, exams go on for one week, then we get a 4 day weekend and immediantly jump back into schoolwork by beginning semester two the following Tuesday! I don't know how I'm going to deal. Stress sucks.

Anyway hopefully your Christmas was more enjoyable than mine.

P.S Thanks to all who comment on my posts! I appreciate every one!

i want to..

write down EVERYTHING in the world but then you will read it.
i think that i should use the 'private' option to good use some time in the future because i have so much to say.
so much to do
so much to contemplate
so much to consider
so much to dream of
but i don't want the world to know
but then again i do
what do i want?

there is one thing i am sure that i want more of
and it's illegal
what is going on with me

what am i doing here
what do i want

i want to be happy

talk to me. i'm still the same
i think
maybe not.
goodnight. time to shut up.
i miss you

nine and half days to go before i can do anything, anything, ANYTHING
(i wish)

p.s. it snowed today for the first time. it was beautiful and i loved it and i hope it happens again soon but i need to get a winter coat and some boots but i can't be bothered so can you please get them for me but make sure they fit and look pretty because i like pretty things.
